about

'Somewhere Between A Groove And A Dream'.....and that's precisely how you'll feel immersed in the 2nd EP from Well, Bunuel. Continuing the hazy precedent set with 'Future Resolution', Well, Bunuel. has crafted another set of songs to make you dance and dream together until either the party's over or you wake up in a groove filled sweat!

'Eye Slice' leads off the set and its unusual meter and slow tempo make it the perfect track to set up the "groove and a dream" aesthetic of this song collection. This was actually the first track Well, Bunuel. recorded over a year ago and inspired all the music that followed. Recorded using a Tascam digital 4-track and transferred to Ableton Live, it has a lo-fi vibe that doesn't quit.
'Back Around' gets the groove going a little heavier with some help from an 808 bass and 'Move Easy' is a boogie-funk inspired jam that keeps things simple but danceable. Up next is 'The Fighter', a collaboration between Well, Bunuel. and Growroom Productions label head and drummer, Lee Durham. It's a slow burner that has island vibes and keyboard sounds straight from 80s chart toppers.
'We All Win (When We All Love)' is Well, Bunuel.'s attempt at a positive pop song with vocoder vocals and sits perfectly between Zapp and Daft Punk. Finally, the title track is the place where Well, Bunuel. always wanted to go with this project: deep groove, badass basslines, soporific tonal textures, vocals - both vocoder and non-vocoder, early hip-hop inspired rhymes, and...basically everything but the kitchen sink, all expertly melded to create one helluva song.

So get up on your feet or sit back and enjoy the groove...and the dream!
